MarineSolar welcomes Mark Wilson as CFO

Building a successful business within the sustainable maritime industry means bringing together the right expertise to support growth, innovation and long-term objectives. As part of this continued growth journey, we are pleased to welcome Mark Wilson to the team as CFO.

Mark brings more than 30 years of experience delivering strategic and financial leadership across a wide range of sectors. Over the course of his career, he has held founder, CEO and CFO positions, leading businesses through growth, transformation, funding, acquisitions and restructuring programmes.

His experience includes serving as CEO of URM Group, where he helped drive innovation in glass recycling and led the development of a major recovery facility, as well as CFO roles at companies including Rok Plc, Dunlopillo and NG Bailey. Across these positions, Mark has played a key role in raising finance, improving operational performance and supporting long-term business growth.

Most recently, Mark founded Novo Mundo, a company focused on converting plastic waste into sustainable aviation fuel, combining commercial strategy with a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental impact. This focus on innovation and developing practical solutions to environmental challenges strongly aligns with our mission to support a more sustainable maritime industry through clean energy solutions.

This shared alignment in purpose and approach makes Mark a strong addition to the team as we continue to develop scalable, technology-led solutions that support the transition to cleaner, more efficient maritime innovation and operations.

A qualified Chartered Accountant with an MBA, Mark has raised more than £200 million throughout his career to support growth, investment and transformation projects. His expertise in strategic planning, financial operations and profit improvement will support MarineSolar as we continue to expand.
