As we continue to scale our commercial activity, our focus remains on strengthening capability to help drive growth across the business. To support this, we recently welcomed Tony Carter as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to the MarineSolar team.
Tony brings more than 35 years of experience across maritime, shipping, logistics and commercial leadership roles, with a career spanning international business development, offshore and port services, shipping agency operations, logistics and strategic commercial growth. Throughout this time, he has built a strong reputation for developing strategic partnerships, driving operational performance and helping businesses navigate complex global markets.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT), Tony brings a personal passion for the maritime sector and the relationships that drive it forward. Focused on quality, professionalism and measurable outcomes, he is motivated by unlocking opportunities and supporting sustainable long-term growth. This aligns closely with MarineSolar’s practical, delivery-focused approach.
Meeting demand for clean energy solutions
With increasing regulatory pressure and a stronger industry focus on sustainability, vessel owners and operators are actively seeking practical solutions that support both environmental targets and operational performance. MarineSolar is helping meet this demand through scalable clean energy solutions designed to enable more sustainable and efficient maritime operations while remaining commercially viable for the industry.
Tony will play a key role in translating these market opportunities into commercial growth. As CCO, he will support MarineSolar’s continued commercial development by strengthening industry engagement and strategic outreach around NanoDeck™ and wider decarbonisation opportunities. He will also focus on strategic partnerships, vessel owner engagement, commercial scaling, funding and grant collaboration opportunities, and the wider adoption of MarineSolar’s technologies across the maritime industry.
Outside of work, Tony enjoys spending time with his family – including his three children and two grandchildren – and is a lifelong Liverpool supporter.
We are pleased to welcome Tony and look forward to the leadership, industry knowledge and commercial perspective he will bring as MarineSolar enters its next phase of growth.
